Sonomir is built and run by Swapnanil Nath. It is a set of tools for files people have to deal with: bank statements and invoices that need to be in a spreadsheet or accounting software, recordings that need to be text, subtitles that need another language, and sources that need citing.
Why it exists
I wanted one place with several useful tools in it, each easy to use, rather than a different site, sign-up and subscription for every job. And I wanted to build a product that pays its own way, so it can keep running and keep improving.
That shaped how it works:
- You see the result before you pay. Every tool has a free daily allowance, and a statement's first pages, a recording's first minutes or a video's transcript appear on the page before anything is charged.
- You pay per file, not per month. Credits are bought once, never expire and work on every tool.
- Your files are not kept. Uploads are deleted when the job ends, and results are deleted after 24 hours unless you choose 30 days. How your files are handled has the details.
- Checks you can see. Bank statements are checked against their printed balances, so you know whether every row was read before you import anything.
Who you are dealing with
Sonomir is a small, independent product, and I am the person behind it. Email goes to me, at hello@sonomir.com, and I reply within one business day. Payments are taken by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, which also handles sales tax and receipts.
What it is not
It is not a bank, an accountant or a substitute for checking your own records. The tools say what they checked and what they could not; read the result before you rely on it. For a large batch of statements, the done-for-you service converts and reconciles them by hand.
